Upon her arrival in the FF8 world, Sharpay spent two quarters at Garden shell shocked. She worked in the library for the first quarter, and, as she slowly got used to a school where kids carried weapons and used magic, became an assistant to the drama instructor in her second quarter there. Once she felt able to cope with the world, she took off to Deling for a year, making a decent name for herself in musical theater there.

But being out in the real world showed her just how little she knew about it. Without her school transcripts, her name wasn't enough for any school but Garden to accept her, and so Sharpay made her way back to Garden, but this time, she enrolled as a student, sponsored by Sapphire. During her time as a student at Garden, Sharpay was a Covert Operations major: Though she took advanced Martial Arts and Attack Magic to better defend herself, Cov-Ops covered a lot of the classes she was taking to find out about the world, and her musical theater background meant she was happier acting. What's going undercover but really good acting? (To Sharpay's mind...)

When Sharpay first returned to Garden, she'd intended to figure out the world and then just go back to Deling, but actually doing Garden's drama course irritated her to the point that she decided it would be better taught by herself. And thus Sharpay graduated and stayed at Garden as an instructor out of spite, though she does take the odd quarter off to do shows sabbatical.

Fighting style: Sharpay primarily kickboxes, and if she knows she's going into a battle zone, she wears gloves to up the damage she does. However, she is also a big user of attack para-magic.
Limit Break: Sharpay basically bursts into song and dance routines, which either give stat buffs to her party or cause status ailments such as Silence or Stop on the enemy party. This does not come out of her magic stock.

Headcanon:

Thundaga is Sharpay's favorite spell to cast and Firaga her favorite to junction to her elemental attack. Her junctioning prioritizes strength and magic. (Which is actually kind of dumb of her, because it means her defense and HP are terrible. She's pretty much a Glass Cannon.)

Limit Break Theory didn't actually help Sharpay figure out her limit break: She discovered it by accident when she got jumped by a T-Rexaur in the training center. After realizing in class what that random song and dance was and that she could replicate it, she spent the rest of the quarter's LBT 101 research classes doing work for her other classes or doing her nails.

Originally her weapon of choice was a rifle. But she was rubbish at it, and the more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable she was with the idea of being able to kill someone so easily. Kickboxing seemed like it would take more effort, and keep her fit to boot.

Sharpay got an aegrotat pass on Survival Skills because she faked sick for the field trip and never actually went.

She didn't just get her instructor certification because she thought she'd do a better job of teaching drama and music than the instructors of her time did: By the time she graduated, she was a lot more attached to her Garden friends than she was to her theater mates in Deling and didn't want to leave them. (She got lured away 'on sabbatical' by a really fantastic show.)

Living on her own in Deling, Sharpay actually taught herself how to cook some quick basics, but she still doesn't like cooking. She spends half of her SeeD salary on takeout. (The other half is on fashion; she sometimes mail orders from Deling.) Or she used to, before she started trying to save her money.

She pretty much only wears uniform while actually teaching or on her way to or from classes. If you see her in the morning or after classes she's in civvies.

After winning Homecoming Queen, Sharpay wore her tiara for two weeks straight, and she still wears it at least once every couple of weeks.

She has martial arts calluses on her hands, more on her left hand than her right.

When teaching, she hands out detention like candy, and it's probably painting sets.

If she's analyzing a particular melodic line in music class, she will, if at all possible, get someone else who's better at piano to play it. She is not all that great at the piano.

When casting magic, Sharpay directs it with her left hand.

She's allergic to cats. (This was established in-game before I saw Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, which has her only encounter with cats.)

Shar's living and working spaces have two major themes going on: Hot pink, and a star motif.
